Sagging sofa

The righthand cushion on my sofa has started to sag quite a bit. It seems to be an all in one sofa, no way to remove the cushion. Is there any way it can be repaired?

Tip it over and look underneath.
You may need to remove staples holding a sheet over the bottom, just enough so you can see how it's made and what is causing the side to sag.

Take a photo if you can.
When you know what is supporting the seat (springs, webbing, whatever) then it would be possible to advise.

You can replace the base sheet and again secure with staples or tacks.

Easier to just use a large cushion in the meantime

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

  • We had a similar problem and it was a broken spring in the base. A sofa repair company came out of and fixed it on site. Cost £100 but it's as good as new!
