Tax credits final review - pension contributions quick query

Hi, looking for a bit of advice, please. I am doing my final review for tax credits, before migration to Universal Credit, but can't get my head around this point: for the total 'other income' box, I work in the NHS and pay into the NHS pension scheme - do I remove these contributions that I have made from my final income figure that I will be sending to Tax Credits, please? Or would it just be my gross pay figure, as nothing else looks like it should be removed. Thank you in advance!

Aren't your pension contributions already deducted as the NHS operate a "net pay" scheme.
For example your salary is £30k and you contribute 10% then your P60 would show your taxable pay as £27k. So there is nothing for you to deduct as they are already factored in.1 -
You live and learn, I managed to get through to Tax Credits and they said that any contributions to pension/s can be removed from the income figure (from payslips) that people give to them as a final income figure!0

The tax credits renewal notes clearly state,
From your total household income you should deduct any:• pension contributions you pay outside of your salary or from your net income, including any tax relief due1 -
I must have got the equivalent of a YTS trainee, when I had a response from Tax Credits on X, and they said that it was possible to remove pensions contributions! I got through to an Advisor on the telephone who seemed to know what he was talking about and he confirmed that pension contributions can't be removed from the final figure, that I had to submit to Tax Credits, when closing my account with them to move to Universal Credit. From a recent payslip, I was able to find and submit the correct figure, which had some tax removed, so wasn't as high a figure as I was expecting. Can't beat talking to someone who actually knows what they are talking about!0
