Car insurance who offers new car replacement on cars 1-2 years old?

My car insurance is up for renewal. The car is 9 months old, and I'm looking for a policy which offers new car replacement if the car is upto 2 years old. Can anyone help please?
Most firms only offer this on models upto 12 months old. My current insurer Direct Line cover cars upto 2 years old under new car replacement but the quote is £1200, up from £350 last year.
The alternative is to take out GAP insurance cover on top of car insurance, but was hoping to avoid that option.
