Should I settle?

I have had the court letter, filed my defence & now received a letter from DCBL to say Bank Park Management are proceeding, I am waiting for court to send the directions questionnaires, DCBL have enclosed a copy of theirs… they are offering a settlement if I ring them within 7 days.  I really don’t want to go to court, I don’t have any real defence for not paying & so is settlement worth considering?  Currently stands @ £273

This early stuff is normal but EVERYONE HERE gets DCB Legal claims discontinued a few months later.  Obviously carry on.

Listen to @Coupon-mad and don’t respond to DCB Legal’s begging letter. She knows what she’s talking about. It’s a desperate tactic to trick you into donating money when we and they both know they are going to throw in the towel before the actual hearing date.

If you haven't already done so, have read of this thread to see how claims submitted by DCB Legal are eventually discontinued before any hearing. Almost 300 to date:

Do you consider that this claim is suitable for determination without a hearing, a judge reading & considering the case papers,
witness statements and other documents filed by the parties, making a decision & giving a note of reasons for that decision?

By using these words - with DCB Legal as the correspondence address - you have pretty much answered your own question.
