    Sorry @peewit2 as getting a bit off topic again.

    No I am still confused by what little I have read on Snug - easily done these days with tech things - even when I have the detailed specs to refer to - and in particular its referenced fall back position - when they have been unable to configure it in their T&Cs
    2.14.9 If for any reason we are unable to charge your storage heaters according to an optimised schedule (for example, because we lose contact with your smart meter) your storage heaters will charge according to the set schedule you had before you joined Snug Octopus and you will be charged the day rate for any charging that happens outside of the off-peak hours.
    One day I'll have another look for and at the old smets1 iirc spec I found on the govt website - as sent to EU for registration - but not sure thats fully up to date for smets2 - and Octopus say require smets2.
    Maybe there is a later version around.
