Help. Am I at risk?

Anxiety through the roof (because of my own stupidity)
I stupidly fell for a telephone scam today (please no hate, I am aware of my own stupidity). I gave the guy my address, postcode, DOB and full name before I cottoned on and hung up - he called me back several times from an unknown number but I did not answer.
The scam was in relation to my bank account, I didn’t give up any information about my banking details but did give details of amounts in my accounts (again, I’m aware I’m a total moron). I have spoken to my bank now and they confirm no fraudulent activity has taken place as yet.
Have I put myself at risk? I’m so scared now. Of identity theft and also the fact that I’ve given my address to a bloody stranger.
I’m genuinely spiralling here and most definitely will not sleep tonight.

As long as you have informed the bank there is not much more you can do other than learn the lesson.
I'm sure someone will be along to say there is more to do1 -
Oh yes lesson definitely learnt. I’ve never fallen for anything like this before. Incredibly convincing scam paired with a total lapse in sanity. Just hoping I haven’t set myself up for any problems.MikeJXE said:As long as you have informed the bank there is not much more you can do other than learn the lesson.

I wouldn’t be overly concerned about giving your address to a total stranger. It’s probably not anyone even in this country and it’s information that’s available on electoral registers anyway. The main risk is not going to be someone gaining access to your bank accounts but maybe someone using your details to set up fake accounts. If it’s a banking scam, they’ve probably just moved onto trying someone else anyway, but just in case there’s some information here about what to look out for.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2 -
Don't feel bad, you have the courage to alert others and you rightly contacted your bank. A boss once told me (after I made a really big mistake) all employees make mistakes, it is how they recover from them that counts. I must have did that bit good as I got a pay rise and a bonus.

It sounds like the information you gave is all information that is in the public domain, other than the details of your bank balances.Flooxx said:I gave the guy my address, postcode, DOB and full nameI didn’t give up any information about my banking details but did give details of amounts in my accounts
You informed your bank and they confirmed there has been no suspicious activity.
Have you checked, and continue to monitor, your credit reports for any unexpected activity?
There is not much that the scammers can do with your bank balances other than try to call you again to gain further information. Try to be extra vigilant for the next period.
I suppose the information about your bank balances will guide the scammers as to how much it is worth their effort to try again - if your total balances are, say £10k, they'll be keener than if your total balances are 10 pence.2 -
Perhaps worth signing up for this service, which will hinder anyone (including you) trying to open new accounts in your name:Flooxx said:Have I put myself at risk? I’m so scared now. Of identity theft and also the fact that I’ve given my address to a bloody stranger.
