I have was wondering if someone would be able to guide me a little better.
I decided to apply for a PCP car, the application is the in the process of happening. However it’s a long distance sale and I was wondering if I decided not to take it, as I haven’t signed anything what would be the impact on my credit score?
As it’ll be a hard search I know it will have an impact but if I decide not to sign it and go ahead then I’m assuming it will have very little negative impact if any?
Advice would be appreciated

A single hard search won't have a major impact on your credit history, particularly after some time, assuming there is no finance taken. I would suggest you read all the terms and contracts carefully just in case as they're unlikely to do a full credit search if you hadn't already committed to progressing the sale
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
