Can anyone please advise whether wireless headphones will work on Tui dreamliner flights?
I want to buy some comfortable headphones for long haul flight but don't want to buy the wrong sort as have only used plug in ones before.

Wireless headphones will work with your own devices, or if you want to use them with the airline's in-flight entertainment then you'd need to plug a Bluetooth transmitter into the seat socket.1

I'm pretty sure the answer is No. They use the 2 pin headphone socket as standard but I think you can just plug in wired headphones with a 3.5mm pin.
I can't remember if the headphones they hand out allow you to detach the 2 pin adapter for you to use yourself or whether they are fixed.
Alternatively you can buy wireless headphones that also come with a separate cable to cover such circumstances.1 -
My wireless noise cancelling headphones have a 3.5mm jack and came with a cable that can used to connect them to a headphone socket.
I don't know of any airline/aircraft that allows you to pair your Bluetooth headphones with their In Flight Entertainment system. Airlines might be funny about you using your own Bluetooth transmitter, I'd suggest just connecting with a cable.1 -

Maybe there is somebody more knowledgeable in this area ?

Qatar and United airlines have some aircraft that offer the facility to connect to their entertainment system via Bluetooth but it is not fleet wide as it is part of the original aircraft construction.1

Thanks for all for your replies. Someone recommended Sennheiser 350BT headphones but these do not come with a cable so think I will buy some with a cable to be on the safe side.
