Short story we have a family member we haven’t seen since she was 6 months old
There is a child bond with just over £400 in the account.
Letter received stating now she is 16 years old it’s time for her to take ownership of the account.
Obviously we don’t even know where is and NS&I aren’t very helpful on the phone either
They are just saying we can no longer credit any money in to the account going forward and the account will just now sit there until she realises she has this account, which she doesn’t yet.
Take it we have no option to do what they say and let it sit doormat

Sadly no. Nobody is in contact with her Mother coz she isn’t part of our family. Guess we have no option except leaving it on hold for nowelsien said:Is there no other family member still in contact with any branch of the family who could help you to track them down?0 -
Give the bank a phone again and see if you get any further forward. I'm sure someone will come on here that's been in a similar situation.
