id like to make a turkey and veg pie with the leftovers, but am not sure how to make a creamy sauce to put in the pie ... anyone have any tips?? my mum used to use a tin of cream of chicken soup, but i have loads of stock/gravy left over so wondered if i could use that in some way?
oh, and we are having left over turkey with everything for the forseeable future... turkey curry, turkey chilli, turkey n chips, turkey n turkey
You could thicken the stock/gravy with cornflour and make the pie with a gravy

I'm glad to get back to this as I haven't done it for so long.
Boxing day was cold meat and bubble & squeak followed by leftover profiteroles.
27th - Turkey & Ham pie (from leftover turkey & ham of course) with chips
28th - Roast Lamb with roasties & veg, followed by apple crumble
29th - Salmon (bargain buy from tescos) and potatoes
30th - Leftover lamb and whatever else there is
31st - faggots and chips
1st - Gammon
2nd - bolognese
I'm not sure about the accompaniments yet as I need to do a full freezer check (I've been putting this off as my freezer is full to the top). But I'm not shopping again until February (lol) so hopefully I will use it all up before starting again.Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts - DFW Nerd 323

We haven't got masses of leftovers here really but we have frozen the other half of the pheasant casserole and the leftover lamb. I think we'll make lamb pasties one day with it and a shepherd's pie another one. I'm afraid that the snacky bits seem to be disappearing down my gullet at an alarming rate but I think that's more to do with the fact that I hardly ate for a week [except for mulligatawny soup and toast and marmite] and am making up for lost time. Think I may need to slow down again though as I'm sure I've now put back on all the weight I lost. Boo hiss!

Sorry if this thread already exists, but I couldn't find it....
So here it goes our Meal Plan:
Monday: Sushi (we got a Sushi kit for Xmas, so it's veggie Sushi for us)
Tuesday: Noodle Stir-fry (using up some of the red cabbage we've still got and noodles in the pantry...)
Wednesday: Penne Arrabiata (+ 2 portion for freezer)
Thursday: Egyptian Green Lentils with Rice (+1 portion for freezer and extra rice for next day)
Friday: Egg fried Rice with peas and carrots
Saturday: Chickpea and Tomato Curry with Naan from the breadmaker
Sunday: Saitan w. veg and roast potatoes and gravy (out of freezer)
Because I thought long and hard about what I've got my shopping list is rather small:
Cucumber
Carrots
Pasta
Flour
Cheese
Cherry Tomatoes (daughter loves them)
Coffee
Baby Wipes
Bananas
Apples
Woohoo!0
