Hi Guys!
Thought I would start this now so we can use up any leftovers we may have and plan the next 10 days. We are away this Saturday, but will still be sticking to a meal plan as we are taking most food with us except fresh/fridge-going for 8 days.
Heres ours:
Boxing Day: Indian Take-away
Thursday: Shepherds Pie (use up lamb)
Friday: Friends Over (Buffet or Curry
)
Saturday: Gammon/pineapple, New Pots & Veg
Sunday:Chicken, Roasties, Yorkies & Veg
New Years Eve: Fish, Chips & Mushy Peas
New Years Day: Shepherds Pie & Veg (MIL/FIL visiting whilst away:eek: )
Wednesday: Chops, Roasties, Yorkies & Veg
Thursday:Sausage Cassarole & Baked Spuds
Friday: Chicken Stew & Mash
Saturday: Out for a meal/Take away
So, what are you having?

Saturday: Sausage, egg and chips
** Just realised..........got some veg (brussels,potatos/parsnips and carrots in the fridge, all cooked but left from yesterday. Will they be ok heated up with Turkey for tomorrow ? Seem a shame to waste them but really don't fancy turkey again todayMary

Not too much left over actually
tonight me and dd11 having cheesy things on crackery things for dinner and will probably have bubble and squeak with the left over veggies the rest of the week - they are frozen in little mixed baggies at the moment. There is some meat left over - enough for about 6 months of meaty Daddy Weekends. Other than that there's only really half a panetone which I'm going to make a luxury bread and butter pudidng with laterI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Just mentioned it to OH and he's happy to just re-heat the leftover veg as it is and serve it up with turkey that way nothing's wasted. He's bought a few more carrots and a turkey soup is next on the list.Mary
