Multiple Parking Charges due to Overstaying

Hi
In Jan I recently park on 6 occasions on Washington St private carpark in Glasgow and used RingGo to pay for 1 hour. The carpark uses cameras to clock entry and exit. Carpark is full of potholes and flooding and my RingGo time is around ten mins after entry due to 524 point turn you need to make and I might have made a phone call before leaving!

I have the RingGo receipts to show I paid for an hour although all the charges look like I have overstayed by 15-20 mins.
So do I ignore or appeal.
I have overstayed, I understand that now as I really didn’t know that before.
Potentially I have 6 fines heading to me for my parking on January.

Any advice appreciated.

As already explained in the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES that asks everyone to read it first, Plan A is always a complaint from the keeper to the landowner and the keeper's M(S)P, without identifying the driver.
There is no keeper liability (yet) in Scotland, so as long as the driver is never identified then it can otherwise safely be ignored.
Note that thanks to your former dear leader, keeper liability will be introduced north of the border in the near future, possibly this year. Despite claiming she wanted independence from the rest of the UK, the lady in question decided to import a law from England and Wales that will allow someone who was not in the vehicle at the time of the alleged event to be held liable.I married my cousin. You can ignore single PCNs in Scotland for the time being. But the law will change later in the year, although won't be applied retrospectively. However, multiple tickets might cause the parking company to attempt issuing Sheriff Court proceedings, so you will need to see what they do. We always recommend a complaint to the landowner to see if they will instruct the parking firm to cancel the charges, but with 6 PCNs .......!
Which parking firm is pursuing you? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks for replying.I read the FAQ section last night but was unsure regarding the multiple PCN that are trickling though since Jan.It is Smart Parking.
The two are split over 2 cars. How do you find out who owns the ground?0 -
*two sets of charges
The first two are for my brothers car who I don’t share an address with and I’m not registered keeper of the car. The next four (only received one so far but I know they are coming) are for my car and I am the registered keeper.0 -
That will be complaints from two different keepers then.
Smart don't normally do court in England and Wales, and very PPCs would even think of bringing a claim in the Scottish courts, but that doesn't mean they never will.
All you can do is wait and see if a claim using the Act of Sederunt/Simple Procedure is brought against the keepers in the Scottish court in the next five years.
