hi, i am after 4 brown or black leather chairs for my new dining table, max to spend is £120!

Are you anywhere near Aylesbury? Because the Multiyork shop is closing down and they have some right bargains - we found gorgeous leather dining chairs in black for £69 each and brown for £49 each in there this morning.

Try an MFI clearance store - I had a leather sofa from them earlier this year (a 3 seater one at that) for £175. You have to take pot luck and several weekend visits but eventually you may get lucky and find what you are looking for.

Try the larger charity shops especially after Christmas when everybody has been out replacing decent furniture with new stuff.

if there is a home bargains close to you try there.
Just been in our local one today and they are selling leather chairs there, cant remember the price but they were way below your budget.

Argos have a green faux leather sofa for £180.
Sorry that it is not leather, the wrong colour, it is not 4 chairs and not below £120 but thought it would be just as useful as the other replies. I do have sympathy with you!:mad:

Now if you can be bothered to put the work in, i can can tell you what a friend did. They were going to buy some leather from the rag market but in the end they simply covered the seat pads of some old chairs with the leather out the back of a thown away leather suite which cost them nothing. It was just wrapped around the pad a stapled underneath. May be more difficult to do a neat job if you want the seat backs done also.

What an excellent idea! I wanted to cover my chairs with leather and was wondering where to buy some. Now I will wait until someone puts an old leather sofa on freecycle and see if I can get that

Incidentally, if anyone has leather furniture, 'Wizz' leather cleaner £1 from the cheapo shops is excellent for cleaning and conditioning it
