1997 Halifax share allocation

Don’t know if anyone can help I found some Halifax shares in my draw when having a clear out and I don’t know if I cashed them in or not how do I find out

Call Lloyds' registrars, Equiniti. It will be able to tell you whether you own shares in what became Lloyds Banking Group. If your Halifax shares had converted to Lloyds shares you'd have been receiving dividends* in May and September; either as cheques in the post or direct to your bank account. Some people lose track of their dividends when they move house or change banks.*Unless you chose to re-invest your dividends.1
