Electric Meter EoL

Anyone have an idea when this type of meter reaches it's end of life? (photo is not my meter)

The longest life I recall seeing on the list was 40 years, and the sticker on that one seems to say it was certified in 1981 - which is more than 40 years ago.

L&G CL27.2 has a certified life of 35 years. See the middle of page 23 of the current list.

It's listed under Siemens.

I'm blaming having misplaced my glasses! New meter time for the OP, anyway.

Thanks all, that's not my meter just the type CL27.2
Mine was installed in Jul 08,  so I make it EoL is Jul 2043. ( I would never have found it in the list)

The date of installation isn't important, its the date it was last checked/certified/calibrated.

The only marking on the meter that looks at all like that is "CERT 81" on the white sticker.

That assumes it was manufactured in 2008 which it almost certainly wasn't.

Pity, I thought they would be recertified  when installed.

Did I read somewhere on this forum that the first 2 numbers of the meter number indicate year of manufacture? If no sticker saying re-certified then the year it was made would be when it was last checked.

Never even thought of the meter number, I was just looking for a cert number.
Mine starts with L95  so could will be that.
