Good morning, I've been up for quite a while, we are both still suffering from disordered sleeping after our journey home from Australia. Though I'm not a good sleeper at the best of times.
Nanny, I was sorry to read that you'd had bad news regarding your health, so sorry.
Izzy, I love the photo of your little dog!
Not much happening today except a bit of washing, and the usual tidying.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can - take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. It looks a bit miserable out there although, for now, it's fine. I think some mizzly stuff and the gusty wind are due back again shortly. The best I can find to say is that it still feels a bit milder so no heating on this morning.
It was a late night of tv watching for me and DGD so as expected, she is still in bed and I don't expect her up any time soon. I'm not sure how long she is staying but there is no rush for her to go home.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning everyone and thanks ScarletRibbons for the start.Sounds very windy here, again! After yesterday non-stop day I shall attempt things a little slower - doesn’t often work, I don’t really do slow. I have craft projects part done all over the craft room - most of the things I make take multiple processes with waits for paint to dry/glue to set etc in between! Hence I have lots on the go. Must try and do some chores too - sadly neglected cos I got engrossed in more interesting things.I don’t think dinner is decided but hopefully something quick as yesterday’s cooking was a bit time consuming. However there are 8 portions of veggie tomato sauce for the freezer.Hope everyone has a restful and peaceful Sunday

Morning - thanks for the start @Scarlet, I hope that your jet lag goes soon. It's certainly the worst part of that journey.Yesterday had weak rain, almost misty. The morning meeting wasn't too bad, luckily we kept to time pretty much. On the way home I stopped at the horse box coffee place (a real horse box) for some lovely homemade soup for my lunch. The wind was biting so I asked the owner to not heat it up, I'd do it when home. It comes with her homemade cheese scone, both delicious.Today we have another yellow weather warning for rain. It's so limiting. Perhaps it's just me, in days gone past I'd have pulled in my wet weather gear and gone for a walk regardless. Actually I don't mind walking in rain, it's the wind which I really dislike, always have done. My day will be spent indoors faffing about with the pile of papers which banks insist on sending me despite being paperless. Opening or closing an account generates reams of the stuff. I'll be scanning, screwing up and burning papers for a good part of the day.Rain mates suddenly popped into my head! The essential piece of kit for the 50s and 60s. Every woman had one or two tucked away in a bag or coat. I wonder if they're still available.Anyway, I hope that everyone stays safe and warm. Hugs to our poorlies.11

Morning All
It's wet this morning, quite gloomy. Bedding in the WM and the bathrooms have been cleaned, will do the rest of the housework later, the floors are in great need of a good mop!
Hope your sleep sorts itself out soon Scarlet, seems to take ages.
Lovely wee dog Izzy, hope she's better this morning - do you think she had something stuck in her throat?
We had a good run to the seaside yesterday although it was very breezy - blew any cobwebs away and the fish and chips were amazing as usual, we sat in the car and watched the kite surfers whilst eating.
Didn't do any shopping yesterday so need to get on with that today and must pay a visit to my friends DD for a hug.
Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX10 -
Morning! Dull and grey...so we went to the housewarming/divorce party last night and gave OHs friend a lift. On the way down he demosntrated a new app on his phone. It's an AI thing called Pi and it was equally scary and exhilarating. I didn't realise AI had come so far, but this thing does voice to speech recognition and you can talk to it as if it were another person. I thought initially it WAS another person, It has speech patterns like humans, intonations, it uses um and err to space things out, and apparently, it's not even the best version there is. The [even] current applications for this are mind blowing, for example, this could be a tool to help anyone who is lonely, because it sounds like an actual person. It really was like a sci fi moment. I remember reading Anne Mccaffrey ships books when I was younger and it it was as if the tech had come to life, it was that shocking. I'm still a bit mindblown now.And on that note, I wish you all a good day, take care!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi12

Morning everyone scarlet I hope your sleep gets sorted soon I’m the world’s worst sleeper always have been but jet lag had me I felt like a drunk zombie. Little dog seems a lot better but just like us when we have a cold she’s worse through the night she’s snoring her head off now . We had a lovely meal at the fish shop yesterday we rolled home it’s been a bad week for the diet but it was worth it delicious plates were cleaned and my purse was cleaned out once again fish and chips is no longer a cheap meal . Gers where I work now there used to be a little hairdressers next door and on the counter was a stand with rain mates in everyone had a couple tucked in there bag I’m like you another that hates the wind my hubby always says it sends him to sleep while I lie awake worrying about the damage it can do . Taff I don’t know much about it but AI sounds so scary I remember when we were kids the jockeys at the racing stables had a big machine and when he had a day at the races he could come back home and watch the race nobody believed them of course it was a video recorder we were amazed when we found out it was true I also remember a neighbour of ours getting a fridge freezer and all the kids in the street queuing up to get some ice cubes in a cup we were amazed I will shut up now I’m feeling old . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all.
It's sunny here and I've just come to after a late night last night. We were dancing, eating and drinking at a Morris Ale near Bedford; great evening.
Today I feel as though I ought to go out and do something whilst we have a dry day so maybe a short walk later. There's always ironing to do plus I need to book some tickets for a children's farm during half term. DD thinks she has found a childminder for July but she doesn't yet have all the days available so I might have to help out for a while. DGS2 will be almost a year by then so a lovely age - plus he'll still be having a nap!
Off for another cup of tea. Happy Sunday everyone.12 -
