Child DLA

Hi,  I made a claim for my child DLA which was received on 8 December. I also received an acknowledgement letter from DWP

How long is currently taking for a decision?

Thanks

There's no timescales. Once a decision is made you will be contacted.

There's a long running thread at Mumsnet about DLA waiting times. Based on the replies in that thread it seems to be around 3 to 4 months from application to decision. It will depend on how straightforward the application is though.
  • 2 months isn't long at all. Wait 4 and then chase if no word.

Thank you all.  I just wondered what's the standard timescale for DLA claim but it does look like it is 3/4 months.
