It was a total success! I fed two guests with the Brocolli cheese, steamed carrots and peas. I was a bit nervous about it because I didn't really make quite enough sauce for the amount of Brocolli. I ate a small piece to check and it tasted really nice. A very simple recipe for the Cheese sauce too. My guests loved it. I also made an apple crumble and they liked that.

You can also make a broccoli cheese crumble: make the sauce and mix lightly steamed broccoli in, put in baking dish and cover with a mix of flour, oats, oil and grated cheese. Yummy!

you can use cheese sauce to make a meal using any left over veggies, or if you are short of cauliflour just pad out the meal with other veg you have to make it go further. just cook all the veg together in one pan, drain and add the cheese sauce and brown in an oven if you want.

It's also delicious with tomatoes in the bottom of the dish - my mouth is watering at the thought! :D

And on and on...... one of our favourites is a bed of brown rice, topped with vegetables, covered with cheese sauce, maybe add some sunflower seeds or walnuts, stick in oven until golden and bubbly! Must put that on my meal plan for this week - will be brilliant after all the Christmas extravaganza. Thanks for reminding me!
