Morning allThanks for starting us off @GersUp bright and early coughing and spluttering as full of cold.DH just left to pick up DS as they're going to look at a car about 2 or so hours away so have the house to myself today. I'll stay at home with my germs. Might bake a cake later if I feel like it but I see there's a rugby match on this afternoon so will definitely settle down to watch that. In the meantime I'll stay here in bed with my cuppa and laptop. My memory has gone a bit blank but know some people on here are struggling with health and bereavement at the moment so hugs and spoons to you all xx9

This morning I've got a meeting to attend, something I loathe more than many things. I didn't remake the biscuits yesterday as I spent far too long trying to track down a small discrepancy between two excel worksheets. It drove me slightly batty until I spotted the same entry twice. By then it was time for a glass of wine. I'll buy some caramel wafers on my way this morning. Much easier and maybe better.I hope that our poorlies are feeling better, all those lingering coughs and colds are so draining. Hugs for those who could use one or two.10

Morning all, a bit wild and windy here. Dog walked, breakfasted and off to DGS footie shortly. He has been made captain for this match, so just a quick post.Carpet looks good now its finished, now the mammoth task of moving the furniture down the narrow cellar steps, will wait until DS1 comes back from his birthday weekend away .Nanny, I was sorry to hear that your news was worse than you hoped. Lots of hugs for you.Right better go, take care everyone x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, glad you had no wind problems during the night!
Enjoy the football Rosy, glad you're happy with the carpet.
Get well soon Chrisca.
Great result with your car Ruby.
Had a lovely evening with a glass of wine and a good chat, seemed strange that there were only three of us. It was a late night for me so slept in a bit this morning.
Off to the seaside this morning with a chum, we'll get fish and chips and have a walk along the prom, hope the rain stays away. Need to do some shopping at some point too but that may have to wait until tomorrow.
Hugs to those in need, take care. XX10 -
Morning all.
I've been up for ages but logged into my email and got a bit carried away deleting old emails and former email addresses.
The walk yesterday ended up being 8.7 miles and the pub had stopped serving food by the time we got there! Luckily our back up option of an extremely nice garden centre was still open so I ended up having an enormous omelette that was too big to finish
Watched the France v Ireland rugby last night; good match. Won't manage both of today's matches as am off out later. We won't be eating until very late tonight so might treat ourselves to a subway for a late lunch.
Look after yourselves everyone.10 -
Morning everyone the sun is shining what a shock another shock I had hubby took little dog to the vet yesterday because she was chocking with coughing definitely thought she had kennel cough she got out of the car ran in the vet jumped on the seat’s flirted with a German shepherd she was only up to his knees had a full checkup of the vet never coughed once £78 later which by the way was £ 10.64 for 3 paracetamol was given a clean bill of health bare in mind I’d never been to bed the night before sat up with her all night they think she might of had a sore throat and a bit of a cold we are going to end up in the poor house with this dog and what thanks do I get she came in and crashed out in front of the fire on the fur rug I’m a mug . I’m going to the local fish shop today at lunch time I asked my son and his wife where they would like to go for a meal for there birthdays my treat and they choose here they have a nice restaurant upstairs and I know it’s good I worked there for nearly 20 years of course I’ve ended up with 3 off the grandchildren tagging along so there’s me with a empty purse . Need to pop to the charity shop with some books and I must wash the kitchen floor again . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning everyone
Still windy here - I've hung some washing out on the line as I'm at home to keep an eye on it. I don't want it to end up in the field over my fence!
I had a Tesco delivery at teatime yesterday, so I've the meat to divide up and put in the freezer. I also need to carry on with the task of sorting photos out to get printed to get little one's photo albums up to date. It's a job that always takes ages so I keep putting it off. This afternoon I'm stewarding at our local cinema for Priscilla.
Little one is having the weekend with her mummy as next weekend she'll be here for 2 nights as DD is working, so a peaceful one for me.
Hope everyone has a good day today x
Lovely photo Izzy x

Hi everyone,
Nanny, I was so sorry your news was worse than you hoped. Fingers crossed the MRI has better news.
Izzy, what a cutie.
I hope the meeting isn't as bad as you fear Gers.
Camelot, I was sorry to hear about your friend.
I didn't get to read the last two days until last night, time is just slipping away. After school last night we had a friend of Esben's, her sister and her mother over for a film and pizza so it was chaos for a while. I went to bed early and slept well for a change. Sleep issues are the worst part of the menopause for me, but I shouldn't complain because they are also more or less the only ones I suffered.
I don't know what we are doing today but I am going to try to do some sewing and get into that groove again.
Have a good day.9
