My meter received a goodbye message from the previous gas supplier yesterday. The unit rates and SC both changed to 0p, meaning that the display is no longer showing my gas usage.
Should I expect a similar welcome message from Octopus in a few days, or do I need to ask for it to be sent?

It should be automatic. It sometimes takes the system a bit of time to catch up. I think the official advice it could be up to 10 days.1

It should be joined up and at some point, the meter (and therefore IHD) will get updated with the unit price. It will still be working on unit count fine.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
