Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, dry underfoot, bit windy.
Dinner last night was omelette and chips. Tonight I'm not sure.
Normal chores to do.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It seems to be an ok morning here, nothing alarming happening weatherwise.
We returned from Australia yesterday, so what with the time difference and the jet lag we are a bit out of sync. I've been up since 2.30 am, trying to potter quietly. We are feeling the cold as well.
I hope everyone is all right, I have read some days. I was meaning to post some days, but never did.
However, we've had a wonderful happy time with our family, 2 grandsons practically grown up and a third not far behind. It was a very sad time on Wednesday evening when we left to go to the airport, but we've got to look forward to the next time.
I'll read back on everyone's posts ( hope Christmas went well for everyone, it's a distant memory now).
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care today folks.11 -
Morning All
Welcome back Scarlet, glad you had a wonderful time with your family.
Hope you get your car sorted Ruby.
Not too cold out this morning but quite breezy again. Seems like we have some sort of weather every day at the moment!
My friend who has been unwell for a while passed away yesterday so feeling a little numb. She was a very good friend of the family too. She was one of the four of us who went on little holidays every year, the rest of us are meeting up later to raise a glass or two.
The hairdresser is coming here after work as she has moved and doesn't have a new place yet. I badly need a haircut, my hair seems to grow out the way before it goes down!
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Welcome back SCARLET I've been wondering when you were due back home. Glad you had a lovely time. I'm not sure what weather we are due to get today, other than they say it will be milder.
Sorry to hear about your DF CAMELOT. Sad times. I still miss my BFF and she died 8 months ago. RUBY I hope better news on your car today What a debacle after the way they have messed you about. NAN I was thinking about your bad news after your post yesterday and hope the MRI is arranged urgently.
I am glad this isn't a zoom forum as I am not a pretty sight! I am sitting in the bathroom with a colour on my hair. My roots were looking the worst ever and the hairdresser is due this morning. I have been promising to do it every day and something stops me! I was determined last night but middle DGD came unexpectedly after school and, of course, stopped for tea. By the time DD picked her up (after youngest's gymnastics) I was too tired and cba. It's getting to be a bit of a drag colouring every 6 weeks but no choice as I I am still not ready to face the world with white hair!
Not much of a Friday Tidy left to do as I exerted myself a little bit yesterday and tackled a bit extra. I really should do a tall freezer defrost today before the colder weather comes back, it's looking a bit iced up to say the least. I can barely shut the door!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely, especially our lovely NAN. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning all. There's a wild wind being very noisy outside again though the forecast is quite good.Welcome back @Scarlet - good to know that you had great family time, it's very precious. And yes, the return to cold is difficult.@Camelot - I'm so sorry about the death of your BF, it's such a shock when it happens to friends.@Nan - I'm hoping that you get the MRI very soon.@Izzy - poor wee dog, perhaps the vet can make her more perky.Yesterday's pool session was a bit strange. The 'new' leader was busy doing something else so there was a previous one. She was lovely but certainly very different. I'm dithering about it all. Anyway, I did a little shopping on the way home, got the veggies I wanted so not a completely wasted trip. The chap running the cleaning company had asked one of his other clients to swap days so that he could fit me in so he starts next Wednesday. I hope he's better than my other one, she was very hit and miss and not too thorough but I kept her because of her chaotic and uncertain life, she was juggling lots of different jobs. So, I'm hopeful!I did a white wash yesterday, it's all on the airer, it should be dry by now. The DW was also run yesterday and everything put away. Today I have no plans, I don't need any shopping so won't go out int the bad weather. Theres the monthly banking to keep me deep into my spreadsheets. 😀Hugs to our poorlies.10

Morning
Camelot - condolences on the loss of your friend. Nanny - thoughts with you and wishes for a speedy MRI and treatment plan.I’ve been awake ages but have caught up on some emails and admin.Taking DM to visit a friend plus shopping this morning. Later there’s the joy of cleaning the last window which has a Venetian blind (also needing cleaning) - it’s awkward and involves climbing on a desk 😂. Then they’ll be the usual dog walking, sorting dinner and generally faffing.
Hope everyone enjoys the end of the week

Morning all. Dull here atm but due to brighten up later.
So sorry to hear about your friend Camelot; very sad for all of you.
Welcome back Scarlet, to the joys of a UK winter!
Today we're walking with friends, so leaving a car either end of the walk, which always takes time, but then we'll end up in a pub somewhere for a nice lunch. 6 Nations rugby starts tonight too so I'll be watching that and have put tomorrow's games on to record.
Happy Friday everyone.12
