MBNA Platinum Plus Card

in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm looking at applying for one of these cards. I have M&S &more card due to expire at the end of January and thought of moving the balance of £2,600 (ish) onto the MBNA card and following the advice in here http://www.credit-card-comparison-online.co.uk/articles/mbna-make-money-stoozing.html.
My question, if I get accepted from MBNA and they give me a credit limit which is less than the balance on the &more card can I still transfer the money across? Not sure if I best explained that.
Is this how balance transfers work? Does you credit limit of the recipient card matter when transferring a balance?
Thanks,

I'm sure I saw Norwich & Peterborough BS have a 0% deal with no balance transfer. Doesn't answer your question but would save you a little bit on the bt fee.
If I'm not sure that I'm going to get a high enough credit limit to transfer a card, I normally just apply and wait to do the balance transfer until I've received the card and know credit limit.

Ignore previous message re Norwich & Peterborough. I saw this deal last week, went to apply for it now and it says due to the high volume of applications it is now only available to current members.
However Capital One have a lower bt fee (1.7% I think) and 0% until November 2008 on balance transfers and purchases
