I didn’t manage a NSD yesterday either. My dog has a little sore patch on his neck around where his collar is so I bought a cream for that. It had good reviews and only cost £3. I thought it would be worth a try before spending more money. I also signed up for an annual subscription to an online card shop. It cost £9.99 for the year, my first card after signing up and postage was free and I het 30% off all future cards. I do tend to use them for close family, and as Welsh speakers if I went to the local shop to pick a Welsh language card it would be roughly the same price as the online card. They’re not the cheapest but it works for me. As well as that my dog had his nails trimmed yesterday which cost £10. I have bought clippers to do it myself but we’ve not been successful. The dog groomer does it so quickly (even with my dog acting very dramatically and screaming the place down!! He wasn’t hurt, and stopped after the second paw as he realised it wasn’t actually too bad!). Yesterday was an AFD day though.

Today has been both a NSD and an AFD. I have also downloaded a new app which gives you ‘biscuits’ every time you log taking your dog for a walk and they get changed into vouchers. I thought I’d give it a go as I am not doing any more than I usually would other than clicking a button.

That was a really good conversation to have with your children about budgeting & holidays. It's helping them.make that vital link between available funds for saving to pay for a holiday, rather than holiday first & sticking it on credit.
I'm sure there are so many children out there who think cards are a form of money, rather than a form of OWING money.
