Timber look-a-like flush casement window

Good morning.
I currently have some single glazed windows in hardwood frames in my house.
I want to change them to double glazed.
To that end I had one replaced in a timber look a like style called Residence 7.
It is most effective.
Just one snag, the ‘mullions’ ( i think they are called) are really thick at 6 3/4 inch which lets a lot less light in. My existing ones are 5 inch.
I cant afford to do all the windows at once so wondered if anyone knew of any timber look a like windows with slimmer mullions?

Long shot I know, but thought I would ask.
Thankyou very much .

I have been through this. If you are looking at uPVC, all the profiles are pretty much the same width. Some may look slightly slimmer, but they are not (in my searching anyway). I think the thickness is set by the strength and locking mechanisms required. To get something slimmer, you have to look at other materials (e.g. aluminium).GoldenOldy said:Good morning.
