pfpf said:i suspect its the other way around. my EIS purchase added the VAT but as it was well less than £135.00 "no duties to be paid". i'd love to see an item thats got the GSP as an option.
Edit: completely unrelated to that search, I came across this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364635441336
Which is well above the £135 threshold and is still EIS.
I haven't yet found anything in Europe or Australia with eBay postage, only normal international postage.0 -
hmmm, indeed. not even showing VAT on that one but also states "no additional duties" on delivery. a bit of research i think before venturing.
i used to buy a lot of a particular line up to about 10 years ago and loads of people sold US to UK. hardly anyone now although i know there's loads of my "line" on ebayUS.0 -
All US sellers have been transferred to EIS it's eBays replacement to GSP the main difference is eBay will issue return labels if needed for EIS items.
The UK is expected to follow with EIS soon.1 -
for anyone who may be interested.
my EIS item that i paid for on the 7th arrived today(from the US). tracking worked well, and it stated this morning that it was "out for delivery". i had no idea by whom until it arrived with the postie. the box had no real indication that it was from overseas, it could have come from a bloke down the road for all i could tell. no fee's over the purchase price and shipping other than 20% vat, about $90 in total all in.1
