How to close a Sainsbury Savings account?

The online help states: "If you’re registered, you can close your account using our online banking service. Just log in, go to the 'My Accounts' section and select the account you want to close. You'll see the option to ‘close’ on the right hand side."
This option does not appear on my screen.
Am I going nuts or is there a way I'm missing.

I’m pretty sure you can also just give them a ring and request closure1

I don't have the 'close' option either and nor do many others as evidenced from previous conversations about migrating to new issues to obtain new rates.
I just instructed them via secure message.1 -

I don't bother to close it, I just take all the money out and let them decide what to do with it. If they can't make it easy I'm happy to let them sort it out.0

Do you need to close it or could you just move all or most the money out of it? I found an old statement (2008 I think) for a savings account opened before 2000, really before online banking, with Sainsburys, rang up and found out how much was in it and followed some procedures to register online, then transferred money to my current account just after my partner's payday, to make sure it didn't get swallowed, then moved it to an account where it will earn more. And I was quite impressed with how straightforward it was.1

But yes, it should be that all users can see and use the online 'close' option.0
