Motability Car Ins - named drivers ??

Having been a main or second driver for many years.
Recently it appears Motability Operations have changed its Vehicle Insurers.
Found out having driven their vehicle often when required. That I was not on the new insurer policy and not covered to drive it.
Although sorted now.
How many 1000’s of second drivers are un-aware they not covered to drive Motability vehicle and breaking the law.
The new Insurer blamed the old company not passing over details.
If any of you are a second named driver for a Motability vehicle - Check that you are covered to drive !!!!!!!

Good advice. I think also some Motability insurance has multiple named drivers, so carers can drive the vehicle.
They were more flexible about the names constantly changing, than probably a normal insurer would be.
Hopefully they are not all driving around without insurance !
