Hello all, I was up at 5am drinking tea then went back to bed and slept till 11am, 1st night I've actually slept wellish because of this darn cough.
The DGC ate me out of house and home yesterday, especially DGS, think he's growing again !
I have some small tasks to do today and I also need to read through the notes from my consultant ready for tomorrow's appointment as there are a few questions I want to ask. Last time I saw him I was like a rabbit in headlights, thank goodness Mr Fix It was concentrating.
Dreamyd how exciting ! Hope all goes well.
taff enjoy your jaunt to Costco, the nearest one to us is about 30 miles away so I think the fuel cost will outweigh any savings.
TA hope you slept better. I'm here if you need to talk, just PM me.
Gers shame about your cleaner and her plight to having to care for her DH, hope you can get another good one soon.
Right the DW needs emptying, I was too tired to do it last night.
Take care all

Just as I got back home the winds ramped up and the heavy rain started, now it's getting worse.
I didn't even go for veggies, only collected new antihistamines and home. It looks fearful outside.
I've a board meeting on Saturday morning (planning and strategy - the worse kind of meeting). Someone else emailed round to say she was bringing home-made sausage rolls and could others bring something. I found a three ingredient Spanish ground almond biscuit which looks tasty and easy. Pulled out my ingredients box, no ground almonds, only got ground hazenuts so have used them to make a test batch. I'm not sure that they'll work but will try them once they're out of the oven. They may be too crumbly, one egg white wasn't enough to bind them.Everyone's been busy with family, work or home, it's all great to read. Now I'm going to hunker down for the rest of the day. I tried to watch The Traitor Australia but couldn't bear the cast, nothing like most of the Aussies I know.
