Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, dry underfoot, air feels chilly.
Dinner tonight I'm not sure. Last night we had fried mash, bacon, egg and beans.
Work today is a half day.
Keep safe and well x

Another hoolie blowing outside though the upside is its much milder than the perishing temperature yesterday. I spent a lot of it wrapped in my heated throw. Today we'll be 'kissed' by the Norwegian storm Ingunn so have another amber warning for wind. Power banks, torches and candies at the ready. My cleaner has had to pack in. She's got an extremely challenging home life at the best of times and now her alcohol dependent husband has become very ill so she's had to become his his carer. Along with two young children to look after she's struggling for time. I really feel for her. I can manage for now until the company I approached can fit me in.This morning I have a physio appointment, I postponed this from December, and then will do a tiny wee shop. I'm out of broccoli and green beans.Sending hugs to our poorlies and sads.8

Morning All
Very windy out again, like Gers it's wild this morning. Yesterday was lovely but quite cold again.
Hope you've managed to get some sleep TA.
Sorry to hear of your friend's death WL.
Your cleaner has a lot going on Gers.
I have a follow up hospital appointment this morning so will be going into work later, the appointment time means there's no time to go in first as the hospital is only 5 minutes from home.
Getting my eyebrows shaped after work then it will be home for some sofa sitting!
Take care. XX

Morning all
It seems cold here this morning and the sky is very white I doubt we will get some snow but it would be nice ! Off to collect Rob today and take him to his work I hope they have something for him to do today as the last few times we have been they just give him colouring to do which he can’t do and then gets bored bless him, tomorrow should be better as he is in the cafe.
Will pop into the shops on the way home and get a few bits, Jacket potatoes for dinner tonight with cheese, ham, tuna and coleslaw people can pick what they like, I will also do a salad.
Floss I do sometimes make my own pesto with coriander or dill which is delicious, but I used the jar on a busy night for a quick dinner, won’t be doing that again !
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning everyone
Wild and windy here again. I don't have to go out until I go to pick little one up from school this afternoon, I can get a bus down if it's too windy to walk.
I'll stay for tea tonight - DD is making baked potatoes - snap Redruby. She leaves the potatoes on all day then puts them in the airfryer to crisp up, they taste lovely.
Had a good chat with eldest DD in Germany last night - she's had a busy couple of days with her 6 men - they've gone home now so she was going to work from home today. They'd been really happy with her designs so she was very pleased.
Izzy - are you down to 30 days yet?
I'd better get moving, I'm doing a course for work this morning - on zoom so no need to go out.
Hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Good morning everyone. I have not posted for quite a few days as we have been trying to increase the number of carer visits for my SIL and have been visiting most days. Think everything is in hand.
It is dull and grey here today with a promise of rain later. I am starting to think about sowing some seeds and getting the veg plot dug over but only thinking, no action yet.
A mysterious parcel is defrosting for dinner so veg that goes with anything will be prepared.
Thinking of the poorlies and those with worries or sadness.
Take care xx9 -

Morning! One very large bag of mostly china stuff and pans has been put ready either for the cs or the tip depending. Cupboards and cutlery drawer sparkling [ well, as sparkling as you can make a 1980's cupboard look], cleaning stuff sorted so that's one job done, and I didn't faint or even sniffle when I put all the stuff in the bag..total result
Going to Costco in a bit with OHs mum, better have some breakfast first otherwise it's a long day. She's the same as him, food is not important for her, I mean, obvuiously she's a feeder, but she's not an eater, whereas I am a definite eater and will be fainting with hunger if I don't eat a big breakfast. She's also feeding us for supper tonight, so busy day..
Izzy, I hope they can do something for her cough, and wow, it's not cheap is it! Gers, your poor cleaner, so now she has three children...camelot, good luck at the appointment...Take care all, must go, am going to be late otherwise! Wrap up all!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7 -
Hi everyone,
Chaos reigns this morning as both children had disturbed nights and slept in. Esben is late going to nursery, I came down with Esther while Laura had a bit more sleep. The parents are now complaining about tiredness and I'm thinking, try being 200 miles from family and a husband working 7 till 7 in London, but of course didn't say anything.
We had salmon, new potatoes and veg last night, stir fry tonight, I have some minute steaks in the freezer to use.
Better go, Esther is now sitting next to me and she's likely to start hitting the keyboard any second.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning everyone - hugs and thoughts to everyone who needs them.
Our water was off for nearly 12 hours overnight due to some clumsy cherub who was using a digger in the nearby roadworks and smashed the water main. Glad to have bottled water in the house, as DH was able to give some to the neighbours (one's going through chemo, and other has a newborn) . So no shower this morning and no coffee. At least I'd done my lunch prep last night..
As a result I wasn't in the best of moods on the bus - way too many people for safety on a single decker. I was one of the last people to get a seat. The route I have to take is one of the busiest, as it stops at the hospital , the train station and the FE college. Glad I won't have to do this much longer.
My last day at work is next Friday, and then I've got two weeks before the big move north. Have been with the University for 12 years - not sure where I'll go next. Half excited, but mostly scared witless.
Dinner will be freezer roulette, probably something I can chuck in the microwave while we sort out house move admin.
Have a good day , people.Surviving the ups and downs of life with DH
