PIP to ADP (due to change of circumstances)

I'm in receipt of PIP at the moment and had a change of circumstances (health) so gave them a phone.
After 60mins on the phone on hold I started reading deeper into the ADP pages and noticed it said I'd move to ADP if on PIP if making a change of circumstances notification [in Scotland]. I was amazed as I don't remember that the last time I looked.
Anyway after another 20mins I got through to a really nice person at PIP who pointed this out and read a script saying essentially that if I agree PIP would be washing their hands of me. So pop yourself off! He never actually said that of course but you get the gist

He said it could be as much as 16 weeks.
Either way I'm going to post here the process and outcome for people to see.

I've known people wait 7+ months when moving across through change of circumstances. The backlogs are quite substantial at the moment.1

Had a letter from ESA this morning about the move to ADP:All dates are correct. I wasn't sure if it was an entirely automated process.Sorted.0

Got my 'welcome to ADP' letter yesterday with a form to tell them what the change in circumstances is. All looked rather unofficial. You can do the whole thing online so I did https://applications.socialsecurity.gov.scot/if-your-circumstances-changeTook 5mins.

Heard from SSS yesterday. They've upgraded my points as I'd hoped for.Money backdated to when I moved to ADP (29 February). Total change of cicumstances process was 5th March (online) to 16th May which is good I think. They never ask for any new supporting information (except my statement) so I assume they just use everything supplied from the DWP. Review will be May 2032.A very easy process with a totally different feel from SSS than I'm used to with the DWP. To be fair to the DWP most of the stress about them is imagined (by me at least).2
