CCJs - wiped after 6 years?

There's a few of here who didn't know that but all the research I have done seems to indicate that it is so.

Presumably creditors are expected to gather payment in that time. My research does not say that the debt is wiped out after the six years, just that the CCJ is removed.

I don't know anything about CCJ's, I've never had one, but I do know what the lawyer who was my buisness studies lecturer said:-

If a creditor allows his debt to remain unpaid and unacknowledged for 6 years, the debt will lapse, and no longer be legally enforcible.

I've posted this on here before, and it was deleted, presumably because someone thought I was suggesting something illegal. This is not a scam or a legal loophole, it exists to prevent a debtor being surprised by a demand for payment for a debt that he had long since forgotten, and may no longer be able to pay. It is not a law to enable you to avoid paying, hence the word unacknowledged. Acknowledge the debt, and the 6 years starts all over again.
