Incorrect merchant

Any suggestions on how to resolve greatly welcomed...my business details are appearing next to all customer transactions (on bank, credit card & Apple Pay statements) for a well known high street store. So many calls/emails daily from angry customers thinking we have taken money from them but when asked if they had shopped in this particular store, they say 'Oh yes!' and it all gets cleared up. As a business, we have no idea how to stop this happening and all emails calls to the store are never returned - Head Office is in Europe. Our business bank have also said it is not something they can resolve. This is not limited to one particular store, it is all their branches up and down the country! Thanks!

Some has the wrong details on their device.

You need to contact retailer & get them to update their details.

Have you changed a terminal at some point. Which may have then been sent out to them?

Are you sure it's affecting all banks, or just customers of a particular bank?

Some of the newer banks (the likes of Monzo and Starling etc) 'enrich' the data that appears in their apps to add better formatted names, logos etc - sometimes I've seen this show incorrect data.

Yes, it appears to be all different banks. Some of their customers have sent us pictures of their statements and it gives our business name and then next to it, it details the location of the store they shopped in.

Apple wallet says it uses Maps to provide merchant name, category & location. Clearly this is giving the wrong merchant information - but I don’t know how you resolve it.  It’s clearly an Apple wallet malfunction / programming issue - as Samsung phones give the correct merchant. 

I had this happen today on my phone with the wrong merchant showing in my Apple wallet, but the correct one showing in my friend’s Samsung wallet!
