I have just received a debt collection demand from Arena Park for £170 demanding immediate payment or they will go to court.
i received no prior notification from Premier Park Ltd or any proof of infringement.
The demand came through in a plain envelope so it appeared to be junk mail. This appears to be a deliberate tactic.
I have tried to contact Premier Park limited via Parkwatch email - no reply.
I have tried to call the debt collector - got through and they put the phone down. Tried again and put on permanent hold. Requested call back and nothing. Again this appears to be a deliberate tactic.
I have tried to contact centre management by emailing Peter Hardlingham - no reply
I have tried to contact Savills by calling Nigel Lea - left a voicemail and sent several emails - no reply
I have tried to appeal to Tesco saying to them I am scared to ever park and use one of their stores ever again - no reply
I suffer with long term illness and also anxiety and depression. This is causing me extreme distress. On the day the alleged infringement took place I recall I was taken ill in my car at Arena Park due to long term illness. I have told them all this.
I do not know what to do and I am so worried and upset. I cannot afford £170 and they threatening to add to it
Please can anyone help me

It's a good thing you didn't manage to speak to all those scammers. They would only have lied to you in order to trick you into paying money you don't owe and/or tried to trap you into saying something contrary to your own interests.
The first thing to do is stop worrying. You don't owe that money and we are here to help you beat the scammers.
You say that you didn't receive anything before the debt collector's letter. Are you the registered keeper of the vehicle? If so, is it possible that it's registered at the DVLA to an incorrect or old address (talking here about vehicle registration, not driving licence)?
If you are not the registered keeper, what is your connection to the vehicle?
We need to establish whether the debt collection letter is wastepaper from a toothless debt collection agency or a real "letter of claim" from Premier Park or its solicitors. Can you please post a copy of the first page of the letter, redacting any confidential information such as your name, address, vehicle number and all reference numbers.
I'm also sending you a DM with another idea.3 -
You can trust @troublemaker22 who is someone I know off-forum.
Your MP can also help make complaints.
You won't pay a penny.

Thanks. I am the registered keeper. I will scan the notice and redact and send in the morning with more detail.
I spoke with Arena Park security today and they said Peter Hardlingham had asked someone called Naz to deal with it and I should get an email but nothing yet.
Apparently Nigel Lea is on leave so that is why I cannot get through.
I am very grateful for the support and kindness I have received so quickly from you both. If I can get this sorted or at the very least pay only £60 to make this go away it will be a relief.
I am not in the habit of infringing parking rules but I do recall I was very ill that day in their car park so i may have accidentally. I have a long term illness that they can have proof of if they want it. I have always paid fines promptly (minor speeding and traffic warden tickets) when I have received them before and unlike this time I think it was fair to be fined and the notification on the letters were clear that I had to open the letter. This all feels like deliberate tactics in order to catch people out so the fine grows ever bigger.
Thank you again.2 -

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that Peter Hardlingham email me today and said they would cancel the ticket. Can take up to ten days but he be assured it would be. I am so grateful as it is a huge weight off my mind. I wish they would go back to tickets on windscreens and reasonable penalties. All this big brother stuff of cameras and not knowing what could be waiting to happen makes you not want to drive. It’s similar to getting rid of toll booths and replacing with online payments or setting up ULEZs and you innocently forget and suddenly get a big fine. It makes driving stressful or maybe I am old fashioned.4

I’m so glad it worked out well for you1

Hello,
I’ve read your post and I’m in a very similar situation. I’m trying to contact Peter Hardlingham to cancel a ticket and was wondering if you might be able to share his email address or where I could find it.I see this post is from two years ago now but I’d be incredibly grateful for any help.

The user @Healthworker was last active nearly two years ago but you might have some luck if you send them a DM using the envelope symbol top right.
