Iris, you did it right, just no one noticed you did it...and then it fell right down to the bottom of the page so it got seen even less....I usually skim for the word Daily when I look in the morings [ and yes, sometimes even afternoons
] so I probably wouldn't have noticed it either....
Morning all! Missed a call from the hospital this morning, have to call them back in a bit, no idea what it's about [ no, I'm not making them wait, the departments phone isn't answered until then]. No plans for today except do some emptying of cupboards. Stand back everyone, I'm going to get rid of some kitchen stuff! Plates and bowls and a couple of larger things...I know, I know, it's inconceivable [ ha! take that Princess Bride!] but it's happening...If I don't post tomorrow you know I'm traumatised. Send excess kitchenalia to revive...No idea what food is otnight, last night it was an improvised quesadilla with chorizo and the leftover onions and peppers. I feel a freezer sort happening, I need to put all the cooked meals in one place...so that's my day of excitementIzzy, glad she's not too bad your little dog, shame about the vet prices though! TA, it's the norm, night always makes things worse...let it all out today! Gers, bit of chicken chasseur? Or deep fry a la Deep South...Ruby, yeah, go see the docs if chilli is upsetting you too...WL, my condolences...Take care all, it's a bit nippier today, cuddle up with hot chocolate and blankets!

wicked lady and Coxy I also wondered about coeliac but I have toast most mornings with no Ill effects so I don’t think it’s that but thank you for the suggestion xx
Dinner tonight will be chilli and rice DD has the day off today so she will probably cook it, I am trying to eat less processed foods, not that we eat a lot anyway but the jar of chilli pesto last week made me feel awful so I’m trying to cut them out where possible.

Hello all, I'm late today but I have been food shopping at Aldi. I needed cleaning products and fruit, bread and milk but spent a lot more than I thought I would as I had a trolley full, I'll blame Mr Fix It for putting random things in it !
I've put the DW on and most of the shopping has been put away, now I'll rest up until we go to collect the DGC from school. We're having hot dogs, waffle fries and onion rings followed by chocolate covered doughnuts, real healthy food 😂.
TA I too was awake most of last night, it's horrible when your mind runs at 100mph. Even though I have Mr Fix It there are some thoughts I don't want to share and they fester. Many hugs coming your way.
WLady sorry to see that your friend has passed away. Hugs to you and her DH.
taff I have lots of kitchen stuff you can have should you need it ! If your hospital phone service is like ours it's pants, my last call rang for 11 secs so no way could I answer that.... no call back service either 🙁 Hope you get through and everything is ok.
Always Allie I'll keep a look out for you in Wales tomorrow.
Iris I've only started off once in all the time I've been on the Daily.
Take care all, hugs a plenty for anyone in need.

Afternoon all, just snatching a minute to post. We had the carpet fitter here to check DHs measurements for the cellar. Lets say he was a bit of a character
He nearly fell on the floor when he saw the size of Ly1a, I thought he didnt like dogs but then told me he had a big dog too. Anyway all being well he'll be here Friday morning so the painting will need to be finished and the rest of the furniture moved up the narrow steps so it's empty. Getting there slowly.
WL sorry about your friend.Need to go to the butchers to pick up the meat I ordered last night. It's a lovely day here atm, bit chillier though.Salt and pepper chicken for tea.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Afternoon everyone and thanks for the start @nmlc x
I was up at 6am to go for a run - first time since August as lost my mojo after injuring my ankle bringing in the washing (yes really). Did almost 3k including 2 small hills, which is a start. Hope to go again later in the week.
Need to pick up some party food from M&S after work for the moany one as we have a little gathering for her big birthday tomorrow. I also bought a cake at lunchtime – YS – shhhhhh! In date until tomorrow and given those pre-made cakes are extortionate and not all that nice, it was a no brainer.
Sorry you have worries @TravellingAbuela – hope you enjoyed your lunch out today x
Awful to lose a friend so suddenly @WickedLady4 – hugs coming your way x
Well done starting the thread @iris – I’ve never done it!
Exciting to be almost done in the cellar @RosyRed x
Happy kitchen sorting @-taff!
Dinner tonight is tin can massaman curry with rice.
Take care all
Coxy

@TravellingAbuela - sometimes I wish I was alone in dealing with the problems - since 90% of my problems are caused by my roommates. I spend most of my days dealing with their issues. Today taking one to the dentist (3 1/2 hours), making sure the transportation for another got her to her therapy on time when they were a 1/2 hour late, making calls for their financial problems, cleaning up after the two cats (I don't have a cat), and trying to get them to pay their bills. I would like to just close my eyes and imagine an empty house. Doesn't work though.5
