  • Just had mý latest £50, took roughly 4-5 months from my last one so it is slow progress.

But its £50 for next to no work so its fine by me!

In the week post cut off date (31/3) I've had 3 surveys so the long road begins again.

    Dear Team,

Over the last six months, it has become impossible to complete any surveys sent by you.  For one reason or another I am screened out despite completing the initial stages.  I haven't completed a survey in months despite my best efforts.

I find it extraordinary that we are continually asked for details of  the Chief Income Earner which is bizarre.  I complete surveys every day on Prolific and the site retains my initial information so I am asked only to complete surveys that I am eligible for.

I can only assume that Y live has become ageist and maybe it would be best to put an age bar on your respondents.  Quite strange that I can earn £20 a day on Prolific quite easily.....

As soon as I can reach my next £50 I will withdraw my membership.  I used to enjoy completing the surveys but you obviously don`t want older people on there.

I have noticed that my thoughts are echoed on online forums so I know I am not the only one to feel cross at your new format.  To my mind you are shooting yourselves in the foot by being so discriminatory..........

Nothing to do with being discriminatory aiming for the demographic they want and not shooting themselves in the foot either.

I always assume the "we already know that" questions are part of the paying attention screening process and on the two occasions, over many years, I have been screened out late both were my fault.

Well, I allowed myself to be suckered in again this evening.

Received a survey just after 6:20 pm - started it shortly afterwards, got about halfway through and was shut out. This is so frustrating

Exactly - I don't feel like abandoining the approx £20 that I've got there on principle.

Not sure about this...the likelihood is the surveys you receive are commissioned by outside sources who tell them "we want people of 'x' demographic". And, without knowing your age, this is far more likely to fall into the working age classification due to this being the bulk of society and the ones who are working at the current time. Even surveys about kids are likely to go to these people, as they are the ones who are more likely to be current parents. Its just common sense stuff. Yes, as an older person fewer surveys will be targeted at you. But this is NOT a Y-Live issue, this is down the companies who are paying them to distribute their surveys. They do what they are told by these businesses....

Now I would agree with you that, yes, there should be better screening and that if that is what their client wants then why are you getting the surveys at all.... but these comments about being discriminatory or ageist are just ridiculous...as a near 40 year old I can tell you I get screened out of plenty.

What I would say mind is, I don't make anywhere near £20 a day on Prolific, not close. So maybe they're being ageist against me, right? ;)

    It is now 11;45 am

A survey arrived  in my inbox whilst I was checking emails at 11:34.

I started the survey at 11;36, got to 16% completed and was shut out.

I just don't know what to say about this anymore.
