current account without debit card

Hi, I need to open a bank account as I will be the secretary of some flats freehold. The previous secretary had a Lloyds current account without a debit card, only with on-line payments & transfer. I haven't found one. I guess I could just open a traditional one and keep the debit card in a drawer. We won't have much money in the account. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Just done this. Opened a virgin business account as it's free.

Main thing would be to ensure it's a business account rather than a personal one, but as you say, it shouldn't be an issue for there to be a debit card, nobody's going to force you to use it, although some might require it for authentication purposes....2

Any will do that. If a card turns up, simply ring & cancel, saying you do not want one.Life in the slow lane1

debit card can be useful for example resetting internet logon details if you forget things1
