  • can you use a i-pod nano when in the gym
As far as I know you can. They sell straps so you can either hang it round your neck or a strap for your arm.

    Photogenic
An earlier poster says you need itunes -no you don't, winamp and many other media players can support your ipod, I use winamp for my GF's Nano with no problems.

You can copy your existing music collection into itunes then sync that to the ipod. You don't need to buy music through itunes to put them on your ipod.

yeah sure, if you gimme a few moments i will post a tutorial in the techie board
  • The problem with ipods is that you have to use itunes as well, which restricts you somewhat!

Apparently you can use some alternatives to itunes which seems a good idea to me.

So I don't need to get an IPod then? I can get an normal MP3 player instead which would be cheaper?
What I would is a device that I can easily play music on and be able to download music onto. Preferably the downloads would be free but if not then cheap. I don't care about names or brands, I just want something that has a decent sound and won't break easily.
