I don't disagree with choosing NS&I. However nearly a year ago there was a thread on here about problems with 2 Factor Authorisation (2FA) used by NS&I.Either logging in or withdrawning money. If you choose NS&I, ensure you get the 2FA working then try sending them say £1000. Try to withdraw that £500. If all successful, put in the rest of the money. If memory serves there a few days around the end of one month until the 5-6 of the next month where something is not updated or you cannot get the money out. You needn't worry, the money is there and you are earning interest on it, but I am not sure it will show up a received amount till after th 5th of the following month. Not sure exactly. My mum opened an Income Bonds account in the last couple of weeks and this warning was shown.Btw; this is the thread:I posted on the thread but now don't know what I was on about. However the OP's comment might still apply so I suggest you try the approach above.I am an NS&I customer and have no problems with 2FA. But I have not tried withdrawing any money from them.0
