Gas & Electric bills have almost doubled and I am getting worrying readings on smart meter

Were you away in October (very little usage)? If not, could the Nov & Dec cover October (eg, if you have a smart meter, perhaps it stopped sending readings).
It would be much better if you could post the kWh readings from your actual bills, showing readings/estimated readings.
OP - if you go back on the Octopus app you can see your bills going back for as long as you have had the account I think ("Bills" tab at the bottom of the screen, then choose the "bills" option - when I look at mind it shows me all the bills right back to 2022 when the account was opened. From that you should be able to see what your use was last winter for the same period. Ignore the money side of thigs though, just give us the kWh figures.
Looking at the graph though, you do appear to be fairly heavy users.

You should be able to view your bills from last December even if the graphs don't go that far back. Is the smart meter new this year?
To see 30-min usage data you need to have it set to allow that in your smart meter preferences. Something for you to check.
