Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Seems dry out at the moment, there were high winds again last night but it didn't last long.
I'm back to work today, enough lounging about! I'm sure there will be more than enough going on that the day will pass quickly, I can have an early night tonight.
Good trip to Costco and HB yesterday, I was very restrained but my pal and her DD bought just about every cake in the place! I got a cooked chicken for my dinner but didn't eat much, there's enough there for a good few meals this week.
I had some sad news about my very good friend who is battling ovarian cancer, there won't be any more treatment and she will stay in hospital for a bit to try to get her comfortable. It's the news we have been expecting for the last week or so but still hits you like a ton of bricks when you hear it.
Hoping everyone is well and you have a good week. Take care. XX9 -
Hi all
thanks NMLC for the start
Camelot - take care back at work, so sorry to hear about your friend.Back to part time job today though I have a gap inbetween sessions so will try to pop to the outdoor shop and find a new waterproof coat, mine is gradually falling apart and zips stopping working - lots of dog walking means my outdoor stuff gets lots of wear! Need to go to the timber yard and price up some more wood for my craft products too.
Dinner will be salad and bits - which will hopefully leave time for me to catch up with all the things I didn’t do over the weekend - as usual my list was longer than the amount of time I had, even though I barely sat down yesterday.Have a good Monday all

Hi everyone,
Camelot, I'm sorry to hear the news about your friend.
I'm feeling a lot better and beginning to get my mojo back. I cooked bolognaise on Saturday and did a roast dinner last night, tonight will be courgette risotto.
Both children will be at nursery today (so long as they haven't come down with another lurgy overnight) so I'm hoping we'll be able to get on with the decluttering project while they're gone, Steve tested negative last night so that's one less hurdle.
We still have scaffolding up because Steve went up and found that the solar panel fitters had cracked several roof tiles so we have told them we will not pay the balance until they have been replaced. It's very annoying that they didn't tell us, just like the dinge put in the car by the garage they seem to hope that we won't notice and they can get away with it. They don't know Steve!
Have a good day.9 -
Morning all
Its very cold here this morning with a thick fog although it does say we will get some sun later on, I only have Rob coming today as the other lady is poorly again so I think we will have an at home day and do some baking and then take the dogs out for a walk.
The experiment with the pork yesterday did not really work I had a bath in the afternoon and when I got out I was starving so had a packet of crisps, within 1/2 hr I started to feel sick again and when dinner was ready I only ate a tiny bit of it, I felt better later in the evening so I’m not sure what’s causing it, if it carries on I will have to phone the GP.
Dinner tonight is a beef casserole which is made and in the fridge ready to pop in the oven later, I have a meeting straight after work so it can be cooking while that is going on.
Camelot I’m so sorry to hear about your friend, sending hugs to you xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all. Dull and a bit misty here today.
DH is out to lunch today so I technically have the day to myself, although currently have one load of washing in and some waiting to be ironed. I've just arranged to pick up a pre loved toy dumper truck locally, which DGS can play with when he visits, so need to pop out for that in a while.
Drove a friend to a good pub music session last night; more of a mixed music and song evening, which was great fun.
@RedRuby1231; do you think it could be coeliac disease, and you're having a reaction to gluten? Might be worth checking with the GP regardless.
Have a good day all.7 -

Morning! Mild and dry today..No plans, I do need ot shower but that's it. I cooked some flapjacks/bars yesterday, first time ever, omg, they're very very rich, too much butter and too much sugar so I noted that for next time. I had a bag of unsweetened swiss style muesli [ I love it, but the milk I have to add does not love me] so it's been sitting there, so I used some of that. Fabulous! really love the crunch from the little flakes that were in it. And made brocolli and blue cheese soup, followed by cooking a pan of beans for the freezer/fridge. OHs mum wants to go to Costco, so we're going there on Wednesday. I'm saying now, I only want some bacon and a bit of meat. Honest guv. uh oh, just went down the rabbit hole of distraction...Right, so no cooking today, but I do sense some charity bags will be filled, I feel a spring clean coming on..you know, you want to throw everything out and wander round with a black bag itching to chuck stuff....snoozer, glad you're better! and steve. camelot, it just sucks doesn't it? Ruby, my mother couldn't eat pork, and one of firneds can't eat it now, it makes them either sick or gives them the other end explosions....Rosy, doing well on the cellar refurb then! Gers, hope you'r all tickety boo now..Nanny, hugs for you. Izzy, 36 left? Woop woop! SO, do you live in a very sparsely populated area? Right, I'm orf to do a big lot of nothing, take care all....Shampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...8

Morning all, it's wet and dark today. Still not feeling great as I'm having my sleep broken every night.
I did do 2 loads of washing over the weekend and changed the bed, I'll put the dry washing away today and then I'll hoover downstairs. I need to check my stores too and write a shopping list for tomorrow.
Camelot have a good day back at work and sorry to hear the news of your friend, hugs to you and your friend.
RedRuby I hope your tummy settles soon and you can get to the bottom of the problem.
Take care all
