I am working as a trainee EMHP for a northern NHS trust. I think I would like to leave and look at other careers but if am leaving early, am I liable?
It’s a working in service role / part time Uni but I’ve been various things and at this stage I don’t want my employer or uni knowing I am consider this.
Long shot, but did you leave or a friend or family member leave the course in the training year (first 12 months) and then become liable for fees?
Thanks

What does your contract say?All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

When you went on the training your employer should (emphasis on should) have told you if you were liable for the training. Usually this is if you leave after X amount of time after doing the training.
Many people are liable for such things when leaving employment.0 -
I’ve looked at both my contract and uni info and nothing.The only mention is if the trainee doesn’t complete their training they go to the capability policy…which just means end of role/job.Cant find anything regards fees? It’s so frustrating and I can’t ask directly -0

It’s so frustrating and I can’t ask directly -Although having said that, if it’s not in your contract, I don’t see that they can enforce it. But you may find it limits your funding options for other training in the future.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

with funded NHS training roles, you arent typically required to pay back any fees etc -- however, as already mentioned, it may affect you ability to get future funding1

Oh don’t worry, me and training are done. I’ve got a degree and done a postgrad already…0

@LightFlare
this would be hugely reassuring - I don’t suppose you are in the NHS or could link something that may confirm this and I can chase? Thanks

Not sure it applies here though as the OP has said the training is complete.
OP does that mean that you are now into some kind of placement scheme within the trust that is doing on the job training and any training with higher education institutes is complete?0
