HSBC Business Internet Banking LOCK OUT!

I'm trying top do my tax return and download my statements from HSBC online banking. To log-in I have to generate a code from my mobile banking app. For the last 24 hours I have tried to log onto app but it's been saying 'server error, try later'. So today, I try to re-install app because its clearly not a server issue (I checked online) but the app now won't let me log-in because my 'user profile has been locked' apparently because of too many attempts to log-in. So eventually I get thru to someone on the phone as this is the only way out off my Catch22 but business internet banking support log-off at 2pm on a Sunday, and the current account help desk are not allowed to help business users. Blocked every way I turn
Any way out of this tiresome HSBC maze anyone?

No way - computer says NO!That said, IIRC, there is no need to log onto app to generate a code. When you start the app there is an option "GO TO SECURITY CODES" (you'll still need to enter your Digital Secure Key password).I checked with my FD app - and I can generate a code with both WiFi and mobile data switched off (i,e. there's no place for 'sever error').0

HSBC business banking still uses the PIN machine for 2FA, not the app generated PIN's the personal banking (and FD uses). At least my OH's does and she had to go into a branch to get a similar issue sorted earlier this month.grumbler said:No way - computer says NO!That said, IIRC, there is no need to log onto app to generate a code. Don't know about business, but for personal banking either is available - your choice (not both).400ixl said:

You are correct, for business banking it is one or the other, but once you switch to app verification you cannot switch back as far as I am aware.grumbler said:
