"Clause 128 and schedule 11 of the Data Protection and Digital
Information Bill would, if agreed by Parliament, allow the Government to
receive certain information on the bank accounts of people in receipt
of the state pension."
There is a petition to stop this by "Prospect" trade union which represents "scientists, engineers, tech experts and in other specialist roles".
What is it in particular that is of interest concerning those in receipt of state pensions?
Should we be concerned?

Just because someone is in receipt of their state pension, doesn't mean they're also properly declaring their income for tax purposes....2
