Yes ... I switched from EDF SVT to an E.ON Next fix recently and am on variable DD. They put me on fixed DD initially (don't they all prefer that@QrizB said:

) but changed it to variable when I asked them to. 1 -
No idea if things may have changed in the past year, but when I was with Eon reducing DD was capped at 10% but with no limit to the number of 10% reductions you could make. Took about 5 minutes to drop mine down to £1 online, just done in 10% increments decreasing by the maximum allowed each time.eastcorkram said:
I thought you could only do that by 10%, so would take it to £81, still too high, even if we were still on the old, higher prices.Netexporter said:Can't you just reduce the DD amount, or request a credit refund, online. Eon use the Octopus' Kraken system and you can do both those things there.Moo…2 -
Hmm. The best deal they will offer me is Next Fixed 12 m v7. 24.86p per kWh and 62.08p per day standing charge. That with a £75 exit fee.eastcorkram said:
Deal is coming to an end, so signed up for Next secure 12 month v 4. This is 23.31p and 50.69p per day. Both cheaper than previous deal.Reed0 -
Difference in SC and unit rates look very similar to East Midlands ( cheaper) and Merseyside/North Wales.(dearer)Reed_Richards said:

Hi
I'm being offered the 12m V7 also at 11% cheaper than the Jan Price Cap, which would be tempting if they didn't insist on the exit fees even for internal transfer. I think I'm going to give it a miss.

Not sure why that's so different to mine. Mine was offered middle of last week.Reed_Richards said:

Regional variations ? unless your both in the same supply region - exist on rates and standing charges on electric - the Ofgem caps currentlySC 38.5 - 62.21p - 23.7p difference62.08 is the SVT cap SC for S Scotland, 50.69 c the 50.70 on SVT for East midlands on Ofgem sheet./kWh SR - 27.79p - 29.73p - just under 2p difference.Regional fixed prices will reflect the same regional costings to similar extent.

Is it worth fixing considering prices due to come down by 16% in April?1

Are you fixing in the hope of saving money? Probably not. Are you fixing for peace of mind, to know what you're outgoings will be over the next 12 months? I'd still say probably not, but some might want to go for itMobtr said:Is it worth fixing considering prices due to come down by 16% in April?
