The question will be why a suit, not many jobs require a suit anymore, normally the jobcentre will pay for a shirt/blouse, trousers/skirts, pair of shoes and a tie. All will be expected to be cheapest available unless there is a reason you need something more epxensive.

It definitely makes a difference
for those trying to argue that what you wear doesn’t make a difference I would strongly disagree0 -
The OP has been asked several times but has not come up with any answers.

If someone wants to try to argue that what you wear makes no difference in job interviews then I haven’t got the patience to argue.
but for everyone else just trust me it does make a difference0 -
smart appearance is important. But actually I have had people tell me that by wearing a suit they believe the employer has not offered them a job, because they could not see them doing the job advertised. The interviewer asked them why they were wearing a suit. Sounds a bit silly and of course the employer may have had other reasons not to offer a job.
It depends on what the job is. Smart retail employer or smart office job where staff wear suits, then yes I would wear a suit to an interview. But for jobs, where staff don't wear suits normally, then I don't think wearing a suit would make any difference. A badly fitting cheap suit the Job Centre have helped with may look worse than someone wearing trousers, shirt and tie.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0 -
Do you need to prove an interview to apply for the fund for smart clothes?0
