help with mortgage payments?

i am on the higher rate of incapcity benefit £169 every 2 weeks,but i have been told i am not entitled to income support,i have applied for help with my mortgage,i have been told i need to claim income support first?.so basically i am i entitled for help with my mortgage.i have also been turned down for DLA three times...

    Hi tony,

    As I understand it help with mortgage interest is only paid for people on Income Support or Income-based Jobseekers Allowance.

    Did you have help filling in the DLA forms? Did you appeal the decisions when you were turned down? Perhaps it's worth making a visit to your local Citizens Advice Bureau or other welfare benefits adviser to check that you are getting all the help you are entitled to?
