I hope I am asking in the right place.  I'm a bit concerned because an email has arrived with an attachment.  I opened the email but have not touched the attachment.

Do you think this could this be a scam or spam and, to be safe, should I just delete it because I don't recognize it or anything I have bought?  Here is is:

"
Hello there!

We just wanted to say thank you for the recent thing you bought for a
short while. We are so grateful for your support, and we will keep
working hard to gain your confidence and provide you with goods you
will adore.4f913304-4d18-46e9-9adf-6d1e8a11f657

Regards
Keith Olson"
I'm too anxious to touch the attachment.  Thank you for any experience.

Delete it and forget it. It's spam. Don't open any attachments.

This is the Energy forum, so no, probably not.

Ungrammatical English,  always a sure sign of a scam.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    Definitely spam.

And if, hypothetically, it had come from a legitimate company with which you'd had dealings, it would be best ignored anyway because that sentence shows they've obviously not put any effort into it!
  • Sorry about the wrong place as not an energy question but thank you very much indeed for answering.  I will delete it as spam.   Sorry for the inconvenience about wrong forum I was exploring latest threads and chose the wrong link'

Don't open your front door to strangers. Apply this to emails too there will be less anxiety using email. Also do not set your socks on fire.*

As you opened the email they'll probably now know you opened it so they'll be back for more.
