As an aside, when I was shopping for renewal quotes last September, I was quite surprised to see just how many companies allowed an alternative repair garage to their recommended repairer but the excess increased by an additional £200.DullGreyGuy said:
By the sounds of it your policy only gives hire for the time a garage would never give a courtesy car. You need to look elsewhere in the policy about traditional courtesy cars. Whilst you are at it check if there is any extra excess for choosing your own garage.1
