Virgin ISA Sign up process - transfer in

Hi guys,
Looking for some input on the Virgin ISA sign up process. Does it involve posting off paperwork or are they living in modern times and its all online?
Looking to do a complete transfer in.
I have been kicking the can down the road for far too long and I have missed the rates at peak and they currently offer the best available.
Are they really as bad as people make out on trustpilot etc?
Thanks
Jay

It depends upon whether they can verify you electronically or not. No problems for meI've had no problems with them at all. On a list of places I would use to research financial products, TrustPilot would be close to the bottom0

No problems here opening ISA online last year.0

If your existing provider supports electronic transfers and you request the transfer while opening a Virgin ISA it's done electronically.
If you apply to transfer the ISA at any other point, you need to post a form to them.0 -
Thanks for replies guys. Currently with HSBC.
I also have to open a current account with Virgin to get the better rate so not sure on the process regarding the point of transfer.0 -
Open a current account and then apply for the ISA. It's been a while since I've opened a cash ISA with them but I seem to recall that towards the end of the application process they ask you if you want to transfer another ISA in. Say yes and supply the details of the old one

I opened the current account early December last year in order to apply for the exclusive ISA. I can confirm that at the end of the ISA application you can enter your transfer details.
I had no problem with the initial transfer.
Did have a problem later when I decided to transfer 2 more ISAs into it - I could not seem to see a way of doing that online and filled in the transfer forms in branch. They managed to lose my forms which was a hassle and delayed the transfer by about 10 days. The transfer has gone through now although they have not dealt with the complaint I put in yet. It would not put me off applying for further products though.0 -
If you enter the transfer details during the account opening process its all electronic. Its a one time only option as after that you'll need to post off your paper transfer form0

Sane here. You can open the ISA immediately after the current account and request the transfer as you go. I opened the accounts on 8th November, they were confirmed open on 9th and transfer from Paragon completed on 10th.fuzzzzy said:I opened the current account early December last year in order to apply for the exclusive ISA. Also, who is responsible for paying interest during transfer process? Going from HSBC to Virgin. And why do these things take so long in this day and age?!
I looked at Moneybox initially but read lots of bad reviews about it taking so long and that theyre not responsible for interest during transfer. A lot of people saying it took over the 15 working days and going to Ombudsman etc.
A fair amount so its a point worth considering and Im now losing potentially more.0
