Thanks Gers for the start - it’s was windy here too, wasn’t expecting it but seems to have calmed a bit now.Yesterday was busy and I barely had chance to think. Today I’m planning a little trip to a nearby town on the river Severn for a walk and a mooch in the charity shops - there’s one there that has a huge room just for books! There’ll be some craft work later plus plenty of chores to do. Dinner to sort out which will need to be something that can be finished quickly as DM has her chemo treatment and we never know how long she’ll be and the appt is late.Might get a chance to read my new book (from the charity shop) which is Kids by Camilla Batmanghledijh who died recently, I worked in the charity sector when all the controversy of Kids Company kicked off and am interested to read her side of the story.Hope everyone had a good Friday and those feeling unwell can rest and feel better soon

PS apologies my post always seem spread out, iPad seems to add more line spaces on a whim!11 -
After my GP appointment I feel much more relaxed and have put away the hospital bag. 😁 Last night I put on the patch (with a little difficulty as it's quite large) before going to bed and will remove it shortly. It worked almost immediately so I'm now relaxed and pain free for the first time this year. This afternoon I'm going to drive up to a wee cafe which is opening at 3pm for their home made breads and buns. The owner has made butteries which are a favourite of mine. She's replaced the traditional lard with butter so I'm keen to try them. Because of the lard I haven't had any for ages even though they are so delicious.Yesterday I dropped a half full tub of nutritional yeast onto the kitchen floor. 😱 It's all swept up but I want to wash the floor. That's my day.I hope that all our poorlies are mending.11

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Good to hear you are feeling more relaxed and less worried now. Just in case we were getting complacent that dratted noisy wind came back here too. Grr.
Flying visit from me as I am just awaiting DD and the girlies picking me up on their way to school. Call me stupid but I agreed to going grocery shopping with her! We have to go in every SM and I come home shattered. I need absolutely nothing and am not going to be tempted by anything. Especially the freezers which are beginning to show a bit of daylight. But it's nice to have a wander round a SM occasionally and spotting anything new.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the increasing poorlies ward. Take care all and be safe xx

Morning everyone and thank you for starting us off Gers (it's good to hear you are feeling so much better).
Enjoy the homemade buns etc this afternoon.
Hope you have a good 'shopping day' TA - I won't buy anything (famous last words!!).
Hope you all have a good weekend.

Morning chums well I have been absent as DGS has been back for his 3 day week after a break as his daddy has 3 weeks off in the new year so trying to get back into the swing of that, and then yesterday i needed to take the car in as it needed a new seat as all the leather on the passenger side was coming unstitched at less than a year old which took a whole day at the garage nowhere near home still they valeted the car after saving me £12 and the seat was a warranty claim so free of charge
Anyway i am back now for a few days i was woken early this morning by rain hitting the window and some strong gusts of wind anyway now i am up the WM is whirring away and i am having a tidy round so just washing and housework for me today
Hope you are all doing ok with this awful weather and those who are feeling unwell are looking after themselves especially thinking of Nan x
Right better get on have a good day whatever you are up to stay safe warm and dry xxxSlava Ukraini10 -
Morning all. No wind down here and it still feels surprisingly mild.
Quieter day today, but I still have to make a salted caramel cheesecake for a party tomorrow night. Might do a lemon drizzle cake as well, whilst the oven's on, but we can finish up yesterday's soup for our main meal, as it's very filling.
Glad to hear the patch is working Gers and hope everyone else is starting to improve.10 -
